Dear and beloved Guru Mahārāja.

On this auspicious day of your appearance I offer my respectful obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

sakale sammāna korite śakati,
deho’ nātha! jathājatha
tabe to’ gāibo, hari-nāma-sukhe,

I offer you all respects, for thus I may have the energy to know you correctly. Then, by chanting the holy name in great ecstasy, all my offenses will cease. ”

Dear Guru Mahārāja, I feel very fortunate to be able to serve you in some way, and I am very grateful for this opportunity.

You have been my inspiration, my daily guide who gives me strength to practice Kṛṣṇa consciousness. You are always encouraging us through your example and determination and although I am very unqualified and fallen, I have strived to always remain in good conscience, following the principles, chanting my daily rounds, listening your classes, reading the books and offering my prayers and extra rounds of japa for your health. Although I cannot be present on this auspicious day, I always feel connected with you, I feel your presence every day and thus I find strength for my daily battle. Māyā is always very strong and in any oversight she involves us in the illusions of this material world. Therefore, I ask you to please, bless me and protect me so that I can fight against the illusions of this world and can continue serving Śrī Śrī Rādhā Madana-mohana with humility and happiness, avoiding committing offenses.

By the mercy of the spiritual master, one receives the benediction of Kṛṣṇa. Without the grace of the spiritual master, one cannot make any advancement. Therefore, I should always remember and praise the spiritual master. At least three times a day I should offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of my spiritual master. (Gurvāṣṭakam, verse 8)

With my heart full of gratitude, I offer my respectful obeisances at your lotus feet.

All glories to Śrī Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!

Your most fallen servant,

Ānandinī Rādhārāṇī devī dāsī (Dīkṣā) ISKCON Washington D. C. , USA
