Vyāsa-pūjā 2023

Śivagati Kṛṣṇa Dāsa (Sydney - Australia)

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my respectful obeisances unto your lotus feet.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

All glories to you, dear Guru Mahārāja!

Wish you a very happy 74th Vyāsa-pūjā! Once again this past year, I was awestruck how you have never let physical challenges impede your mission to carry out Śrīla Prabhupāda’s desires. Whatever physical ailment I feel, it pales when I think of you and what you are going through - that serves as inspiration to forge ahead. I have much to learn from the example you set and pray that I may someday be worthy of your mercy.

The highlight of this year was undoubtedly the moment when I was able to get your darśana at Māyāpur Dhāma on 1st January 2023. Through your mercy and my mentor Saṅkīrtana Narottama Prabhu’s guidance, I was fortunate to organise travel to Śrī Dhāma Māyāpur, Jagannātha Purī dhāma and Vṛndāvana--dhāma for several other devotees and their families from Sydney. Due to a health issue for my wife Premapriyaā Rādhārāṇī Devī Dāsī, she and our daughter Ananya could not accompany me, however, you sent your special blessings through a video call - they felt extremely blessed and look forward to the day when they can also get your darśana.

As I do every year, on this auspicious Vyāsa-pūjā day, I would like to re-dedicate myself to serving you better. I once again commit to reading your books and listening to your classes regularly, so that I remain connected with your vāṇī. I also beg for your forgiveness dear Guru Mahārāja, for any offences that I have committed. I pray that under your shelter and guidance, I will continue to grow steadily in Kṛṣṇa consciousness and serve you with more love.

I humbly seek your causeless mercy for my wife Premapriyā Rādhārāṇī Devī Dāsī, daughter Ananya, for myself and for our families – both material and spiritual – so that we may all stay steady in sādhanā, overcome our anarthas and share the gift of Kṛṣṇa consciousness with others. I hear you say repeatedly that the duty of a gṛhastha is to bring up Kṛṣṇa conscious children. Please bless us to be Kṛṣṇa conscious parents, dear Guru Mahārāja so we may help our daughter progress steadily on the spiritual path as she navigates her growing years.
With prayers to Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva for your good health and long life, I remain your humble servant,

Śivagati Kṛṣṇa Dāsa.
