Vyāsa-pūjā 2024

Śrī-guru Bhakti devī dāsī (Sydney - Australia)

Dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances.
All glories to you!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

We are very happy to celebrate your appearance day.

When I read about the qualities of a saintly person in the Bhāgavatam, I can readily recognize those admirable traits in you. Now, I truly comprehend the concept of "walking Bhāgavatam" through your example. The scripture mentions that a saintly person aspires to make the entire world saintly, and I find no better example than you. You invoke Kṛṣṇa consciousness in everyone you meet. Who else other than you can be a perfect example of a person who is so affectionate to his spiritual master?

You said in a class that Rūpa and Sanātana are the generals of Mahāprabhu’s army. I was thinking that you are the general of Śrīla Prabhupāda. I am fortunate to have you. I am really grateful to Mahāprabhu for giving you as my spiritual master. It is real nectar to listen to you. It is said that Sukadeva Gosvāmī got the mercy of his spiritual master because of his sincere and submissive service to the spiritual master. Let me become one sincere and submissive disciple of you. Let me do my sādhana very sincerely and seriously as my offering to you. Let me chant my rounds so sincerely and intensely that you and Śrīla Prabhupāda are pleased always. Let our son Achyutānanda Mādhava dāsaand my husband Anandamaya Gopīnātha dāsa chant their rounds very sincerely and do their sādhana very nicely for your pleasure. Let our sādhana be a sincere dedication to you. Though we want to dedicate our sādhana to you, it is only by your mercy that we can do our sādhana as well. So please shower your mercy on us so that we please you eternally every moment.

I was so happy to hear Your lecture on Śravaṇa Utsav, where you read Śrīla Prabhupāda's mail. I was so ecstatic to listen that Śrīla Prabhupāda was so happy with your service in Māyāpur that he was saying that your intense focus of energy has resulted in such a glorious service. I was thinking that it would be nice to be a dust at your lotus feet. I am struggling even with the small service and responsibilities you have entrusted to me. I am trying to conduct Bhakti-vṛkṣas and help my husband in teaching Bhakti Sastri. I am also trying to learn for Bhakti Vaibhav. Helping a smaller number of devotees we have here looks like a big task to me every day.

Now by your mercy, I got my second intiation in Māyāpur at the rooftop. Many times I get scared of all the responsibilities I have taken. I am not all qualified to do anything myself. So please forgive me for all the offences I have done. But I know deep in my heart that nothing is impossible if you give your mercy. Once again this year I would like get more mercy so that we don’t waste any time and serve you so nicely that you are happy. Whenever you say that you are sick, I feel lifeless. I sincerely pray to Jaganath, Baladev and Subathara Ma for your speedy recovery and help me, my family and devotees we are helping in becoming devotees. I strongly believe that only you can make us devotees. All of us need your magical touch so that we become devotees. Dear Gurudeva, we want to become good devotees. We want to become your faithful sincere servants. Kindly bestow your special blessings upon me, Anandamaya Gopīnātha dāsa, and Achyutānanda Mādhava das, enabling us to share the joy of Kṛṣṇa consciousness with everyone we encounter.
Your daughter,
Śrī Guru Bhakti devī dāsī
