Vyāsa-pūjā 2024

Śrī Rūpa Rādhikā devī dāsī (Thiruvananthapuram - India)

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most humble obeisances at your lotus feet. This year too by your blessings I have been able to continue in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. My material father passed away 2 months back.

Thankfully you are there as my spiritual father to guide me and support me eternally in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Following in your grace’s footsteps (satovṛtteḥ), I too am trying to complete Bhakti-śāstrī even though the high-level studies sometimes look unintelligible, your thoughts bring back intelligence to my dull brain. I am always grateful to you for the prayers and kind thoughts you have for this insignificant soul, out of your causeless mercy.

I am truly inspired by the way you are fighting death and disease to stay alive to complete your promises to your guru His Divine Grace Śrīla Prabhupāda. I watched you online as you sang Narasiṁha kīrtana during the installation ceremony in the TOVP recently. You are always making your guru proud of you. May be one day I too could make you proud by my insignificant activities that I do, on behalf of you.

But I have to admit that my services are so miniscule and insignificant that nobody may notice or appreciate.

Please help me to stay away from offensive behavior and pride so that my kṛṣṇa-bhakti can stay pure and fresh.

Old age has made me grumpy and intolerant.

I hope to learn to stay young, enthusiastic, innocent, tolerant and supple from your grace so that Kṛṣṇa will find my services more pleasurable without becoming naive.

Śrīla Gurudeva there is so much to learn about bhakti and practice it, I don’t know how to gauge myself as to where I have reached. But I trust by your mercy, I can complete my studies in this lifetime, practice and return to Godhead.

Thanking you again for the unrepayable debt of Love for Kṛṣṇa that you have instilled in me from time immemorial.

Your humble spiritual daughter,

Śrī Rūpa Rādhikā Devī Dāsī
