Vyāsa-pūjā 2024

Premamayī devī dāsī (Bangalore - Sri Sri Narasimha Giridhari Mandir - India)

Hare Kṛṣṇa Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my respectful obeisances. Am eternally grateful to you for guiding me on my spiritual journey. Though undeserving, you are the best that has happened to me. Am Divinely favored to witness one more Vyāsa-pūjāduring my stay on this planet. I pray for your good health, even more Jaya and Vijaya on this auspicious day of your appearance. May we celebrate many more Vyāsa-pūjā. It's my greatest fortune that you have accepted me as your disciple and devotee. Your existence and presence is sufficient to engage us in the service of Lord Kṛṣṇa.

I had once experienced Diwali celebrations with you and devotees in Mangalore. And there was this intense desire to experience it again. My wishful thinking! Maybe. Really? Your mysterious responses to our prayers are even more inscrutable. This Diwali, on the first day of Kartik, when you offered a lamp at your home, Guru āśraya is still a surreal moment. I prayed for your association during Diwali. And you answered by coming home! This shelter called Guru āśraya provided by Lord Kṛṣṇa exists only to serve you and devotees. With you around, I was so joyful that I couldn't serve you well. I pray for your visit again so that I may serve well with every fiber of my being.

Most of us, why talk about everybody else, when I am unwell or in pain, I can't focus on anything else other than my distress. Soon after your discharge, on medication and weakness in the body, the way you lit up the whole atmosphere is so moving Gurudeva. The physiotherapist was trying to make you take small steps and everybody around was tensed. I can never forget the expansion of GAP that you gave which was on the physiotherapists T-shirt on that day. govindam ādi-puruṣam is what you uttered to ease the tension and all of us laughed out aloud. How can you think of God and be thoughtful about people around you even in those stressful situations? Selfless as always. These memories will be with me for eternity. There is so much to tell you my Spiritual Father. Words are inadequate and for sure can’t justify all that has happened and is happening after taking refuge in you. I haven't used any shlokas or scriptural verses in these lines of mine. I hardly understand them though you have explained the meanings in your talks. Please forgive my offences. May your grace be on us always. May we follow your instructions and continue to serve you, Lord Kṛṣṇa and devotees forever.

Your Spiritual Daughter
