Vyāsa-pūjā 2024

Paramapriyā Gopīnātha dāsa (Sydney - Australia)

Dearest Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to JagadGuru His Holiness Śrīla Prabhupāda

On this auspicious occasion of your 75th Śrī Vyāsa-pūjā Mahotasva, we come together in heartfelt reverence to honour and express our deepest gratitude to you Śrīla Gurudeva, you are the beacon of divine wisdom, compassion, and boundless devotion.

Dearest Guru Mahārāja, your life is a radiant testament to the transformative power of devotion and selfless service. With unwavering dedication, you have tirelessly spread the message of love and spiritual enlightenment to countless souls around the world, illuminating their paths with the divine light of Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

Dearest Guru Mahārāja, your presence in this world is a divine blessing, a source of inspiration and solace for all who seek the path of truth and righteousness. When you were on 1 per cent survival chances of your life in 2008 and again during your liver and kidney transplantation, you pushed those boundaries only to serve your spiritual master Śrīla Prabhupāda and guide all your disciples. Despite your health and bodily constraints, you have travelled over 813 million miles to preach and countless meetings and lectures to spread your causeless mercy. Your profound teachings resonate deep within our hearts, reminding us of our divine essence and our eternal connection with the Supreme. With every word you speak and every action you take, you uplift our souls and ignite the flame of devotion within us, leading us closer to the ultimate goal of self-realisation.

Vasudeva Dutta prayed to Lord Caitanya, “ Let me take all the karma from all the living entities in the entire universe. Let me suffer. Let one person suffer. But let all of them get the love of Kṛṣṇa. I have already tasted the love of Kṛṣṇa. I know how much these people are suffering without the love of Kṛṣṇa.” He was not thinking only about the poor people who have a shortage of food or something, He was thinking of even the devas- Indraloka, Varunaloka, Yamaloka- all the different heavenly planets and hellish planets, wherever there are living entities.” Vasudeva Dutta wanted to take everybody’s suffering. After their life is over in the heavenly planet the devas come back down- ‘abramha bhuvanal loka punaravartino arjuna”- if one is not Kṛṣṇa conscious, one has to come down again. Vasudeva Dutta wanted to deliver all of them, “ I will take their suffering”. Lord Caitanya embraced him and said “ You are so compassionate.” Śrīla Prabhupāda said Jesus Christ took the sins of his followers and saved them in this way however Vasudeva Dutta took the sins of the whole world, the whole universe – even the demons and the demigods, everyone – all the human beings -whether they were Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, atheists or whatsoever. You are giving your causeless mercy on me and my family.

As you have sincerely prayed

premakalpataru nitāi-gaurera, kṛpā kaṇa labhibāre

niravadhi jaya- patākā hṛdaya, tomare śaraṇa kare

Desiring a drop of mercy of Nitāi Guara’s wish-fulfilling tree of love of Godhead, with all his heart Jayapatākā incessantly takes shelter of Your Divine Grace.

I am bowing down and praying at your lotus feet to shower a drop of your mercy on us as I along with my family members desire a sincere attempt to serve you in devotional service as we (me and my wife) are very fortunate to be your disciples.

May your life continue to be a shining example to me and my family of selfless service and devotion, inspiring all to come to walk the path of spirituality with unwavering faith and dedication. On this sacred day, we offer our heartfelt gratitude and love to you, our beloved spiritual master, His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Guru Mahārāja.

As we gather to celebrate your Vyāsa-pūjā, we offer our humble obeisances at your lotus feet, praying for your continued health, strength, and divine guidance.

Happy Vyāsa-pūjā, dear Guru Mahārāja!
