Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my respectful prostrated obeisances at your divine lotus feet. I am an impure insignificant soul who doesn’t have the slightest capability to glorify your Holiness. Hence, I pray unto all the ācāryas and Vaiṣṇavas in the line of disciplic succession, so that by their mercy, I may be able to pay homage unto you on your auspicious appearance day.

You always instruct us on studying Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books and other relevant scriptures. You also stress upon courses like Bhakti-śāstrī, etc. so that devotees are well-trained in scriptures and each devotee can represent our Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Philosophy like a lawyer of Śrīla Prabhupāda. Being an ācārya, you teach your disciples by your own example of completing courses.

You are also very concerned about Vaiṣṇava behavior of devotees. I recently saw one of your YouTube shorts, in which you talked about vaiṣṇava-aparādha being the ‘mad elephant offense’.

Please bless me so that I can strive on the above two points: studying scriptures attentively and never offending anyone. Being a fallen conditioned soul, dwindling in material world, I, many times forget these. Please have mercy on me.

I am utterly unqualified to be your dīkṣā disciple. Though I try to follow your instructions (not with heart, but as a matter of duty), I honestly have not developed any attachment to your lotus feet. That’s why I may not be able to be your dīkṣā disciple anymore. Please have mercy on me that I may at least remain your sīkṣā disciple forever and develop attachment to the lotus feet of you and other ācāryas in our paramparā.

Please have mercy on me that I develop seriousness in spiritual life and understand in my heart the rarity of human birth. Please have mercy on me that I develop attachment to the holy name. Please have mercy on me that I can serve the Lord and his devotees fearlessly without caring for my own sense gratification.

Your most unworthy unqualified sinful servant,

Nīlañjana Dāsa.
