Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Candravadana Gaurāṅga Dāsa (Sacramento - United States of America)

Hare Kṛṣṇa Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept our humble obeisance! All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

This is our first Vyāsa-pūjā offering to your lotus feet. We found ourselves incapable of this offering all these years since you gave us our first initiation in front of Rukmiṇī Dvārakādīśa temple in 2012 in Los Angeles, CA USA. With your mercy and encouragement by devotee groups, this year we are able to gather some courage to offer the Vyāsa-pūjā offerings at your lotus feet.

We husband (Candrvadana Gaurāṅga Dāsa) and wife (Aṣṭa-sakhī Mādhavī Devī Dāsī) live in Sacramento area, CA from last 20 years. We serve our deities Prema Gaura Nitāi Candra  (name given by you) at our home with Tulasī parikramā as recommended by you. We are able to chant 16 rounds daily and some extra rounds for your health. On regular basis we read daily Bhagavad-gītā, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Narasiṁha Kavacam and other Śrīla Prabhupāda’s and his disciple’s books.

With Kṛṣṇa’s mercy, we are part of the book distribution team (Non-profit: Team Yamunā Mayī) in Sacramento. We go out to the local events i.e. Kids day at park, Strawberry festival, Banana festival, Color festival and/or Earth day to introduce the attendees to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books. We also cook prasāda to distribute to prospective new comers during the saṅkīrtana. We also invite festival attendees to come visit us and learn about Bhagavad-gītā and have free vegetarian feast during our regular Sunday program. At Sunday program we also teach small kids Hindi/śloka’s and other related activities.

We get books supply from BBT LA in small trucks or vans and store them in our garage. We collect funds in our non-profit to support continuous book distributions of BBT books. Some pictures are attached for your pleasure. Slowly but steadily our goal is to fully serve Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission as our service. I hope you will continue to shower your mercy upon us knowing we need the most so that we can continue to stay focused.

Your Humble Servant,

Candravadana Gaurāṅga Dāsa
