Vyāsa-pūjā 2024

Dīnadayāla dāsa  (Pune - India)

Respected Guru Mahārāja

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to your 75th Vyāsa-pūjā celebration. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

I still remember that pious occasion in July 1980 when Your Holiness bestowed causeless mercy on a fallen conditioned soul like me and initiated me at Calcutta Temple. It must be due to some ajñāta-sukṛti of my previous life that I was fortunate enough to get dīkṣā from you, Guru Mahārāja. I was also very fortunate to get opportunity to render direct service at your lotus feet when Your Holiness came to Nairobi, Kenya for Ratha-Yātrā Festival and purified my house by staying there.

I have been getting your personal guidance from time to time on spiritual matters by letters, phone calls, your fortnightly newsletter and your online classes. Dear Guru Mahārāja, you have been encouraging me to write books on Gītā and Bhāgavatam and also preaching on YouTube.

I have not been able to render direct service at your lotus feet of late, but I am really inspired by your establishment of Lord Caitanya’s Lotus footprints at various places in India where the Lord travelled. I hereby pledge to contribute for this mission of Your Holiness according to my capability. Ceremony performed at Juhu temple was wonderful and Guru Mahārāja this would inspire many disciples and other well wishers to contribute.

In spite of your health problems, Guru Mahārāja, you have been traveling extensively, giving classes regularly, attending GBC meetings, initiating new disciples, giving mercy to sheltered and aspiring devotees and looking after TOVP project at Māyāpur.

Your trip to Bangladesh last year was very commendable as you had visited Chittagong, the birthplace of Śrī Puṇḍarīka Vidyānidhi and initiated thousands of devotees.

I am always praying to Lord Narasiṁhadeva to give longer life to Your Holiness so that you can fulfill orders and instructions of Śrīla Prabhupāda. At this old age, Guru Mahārāja, you have completed Bhakti-śāstrī and Bhakti-vaibhava courses and this has inspired many of your disciples including myself to complete these courses.

Guru Mahārāja, I have been giving Ekādaśī vratā-phala for your good health and would also chant Dhanvantari mantra for your well-being.

Seeking mercy from you, Guru’Mahārāja.

Your obedient servant,

Dīnadayāla dāsa
