Vyāsa-pūjā 2024

Rādhā Rati Devī Dāsī. (Mayapur - India)

My dear Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances unto Your divine lotus feet. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda and all the paramparā-ācāryas. All glories to Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Śrī Pañcatattva and Śrī Nṛsiṁhadeva and my prayers to them for your good health so that You can fulfil your mission of serving Śrīla Prabhupāda in the way You desire.

O Gurudeva, O most confidential servitor of Śrī Gaurāṇga, O greatest soldier in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s army, Your greatness is unfathomable by any ordinary living being.

You chant and breathe the pastimes of Śrī Gaurāṇga Mahāprabhu always, the most merciful form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Not in one lecture do you miss to mention the causeless mercy of Śrī Mahāprabhu. You always chant the holy names propagated by Śrī Mahāprabhu. You take great pleasure in seeing and worshipping Śrī Mahāprabhu. You are so enthusiastic to distribute the mercy of Śrī Mahāprabhu, carefully handed down in the Paramparā to all varieties of conditioned souls and thus who can be more merciful than You?!

Your determination and sincerity in serving Śrīla Prabhupāda is so exemplary; no one else have I seen in the history of the world that can match Your mood! The tiny brain of mine wonders how you keep yourself so motivated in Your service in spite of so many obstacles hurled at You in the form of Your deteriorating health, immature disciples, management headaches, challenges from the world outside ISKCON and what not! You’re so patient, enthusiastic and humble all at the same time! Surely You have attracted the mercy of Śrīla Prabhupāda, the previous ācāryas and the Lord Himself. You have mastered the skill of being a dhīra by Your own meticulous devotional practices and you’re always in samādhi for you’re undisturbed by anything and are fully focused on the Lord and Your commitments to Śrīla Prabhupāda. Your whole life is so inspiring to anyone who comes in contact with You. Gurudeva, You are simply AWESOME!

On this auspicious day of Your Vyāsa Pūjā I stand before You awing at the causeless good fortune I have received in becoming Your disciple. I wonder what sukṛti I might have accumulated to have received this causeless and merciful opportunity! ‘Thank You’ is just a tiny speck of a word in comparison to the gratitude I feel for Your mercy. Being Your fallen disciple, I struggle every moment to pick myself up and keep going; and the reason I do keep going is only You dear Gurudeva – my sole motivation, for I feel so indebted to You for the ocean of mercy You have showered on this insignificant disciple. I am trying to serve You by passing on this mercy of Yours to some young girls and children. I am also trying to engage my skills in the Lord’s service. Please mercifully accept these endeavors, even though faulty, for I am trying my best to serve carefully. Please also bless these endeavors so that I may serve You and Śrīla Prabhupāda in a way that is pleasing to You. I beg for Your mercy and blessings to fulfil my commitments to You always.

Thank You ever so much for Your special mercy on me and all our family members. I beg that You keep me and my family sheltered under Your mercy eternally.

Your insignificant fallen servant

Rādhā Rati Devī Dāsī.
