Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Gopa Vṛndapāla Dāsa (Mathurā Deśa - Middle East)

Beloved Gurudeva,

Please accept my most humble obeisance unto your lotus feet. All glories to Gaurāṅga. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

In this auspicious occasion of your 69th divine appearance day, I am fortunate to get this opportunity to glorify you, although I am quite insignificant to glorify you. Of course, it is a proud moment for a disciple when he is in the platform of glorifying his spiritual master, at the same time it is the duty of every disciple to glorify their spiritual master in his divine appearance day.

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.15.26 says:-

yasya sākṣād bhagavati
jñāna-dīpa-prade gurau
martyāsad-dhīḥ śrutaṁ tasya
sarvaṁ kuñjara-śaucavat

“The spiritual master should be considered to be directly the Supreme Lord because he gives transcendental knowledge for enlightenment. Consequently, for one who maintains the material conception that the spiritual master is an ordinary human being, everything is frustrated. His enlightenment and his Vedic studies and knowledge are like the bathing of an elephant.”

Dear Gurudeva, you are declared by Śrīla Prabhupāda as the eternal associate of the Lord Śrī Caitanya. Your in-exhaustive enthusiasm and keenness in taking up multiple responsibilities and developmental tasks in promoting the cult of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness, is one of the factors of inspiration to all who come in contact with your divine self. You were always willing to accept instructions from Śrīla Prabhupāda and your relentless efforts to accomplish the missions, even in the present health conditions, are exemplary to all. Your divine leadership and un-adultered faith on Prabhupāda has been translated into the establishment of a number of devotee congregations and temples around the world.

Although we are missing you physically, we are always living with your instructions and advices. I thank you for being merciful towards me, and for the abundance of spiritual support extending to us throughout our journey. Your endless love and devotion to Kṛṣṇa and Śrīla Prabhupāda makes me feel all the more determined and devoted towards pleasing you.

Please reveal to me how I can be a better devotee and of better service to you. I feel helpless and dependent on your mercy.

We pray to Lord Narasiṁhadeva, for bestowing their immense mercy on you for your good health and long life, to continue to rescue us from the imminent dangers.

Your humble servants,

Gopa Vṛndapāla Dāsa (Dīkṣa),
Mathuradeśa, Oman
