Param Pujya Gurudeva,
Please accept my respectful obeisances (dandavat pranam).
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
All glories to you on the auspicious occasion of your Vyasa Puja.
Though I am not qualified to glorify you Guru Maharaja, I will try my best to do so. With your blessings, I hope that I will be able to write something in your glorification.
I am indeed fortunate to have you as my spiritual father. It is just your causeless mercy that you have accepted me as your disciple. I am always hankering to hear your glorification, and every time I hear your glorification at the weekly JSSS meeting at Mayapur or any other occasion I feel more and more inspired to serve you. I would like to imbibe your mood in serving your Guru Maharaja and be able to serve you in such a way that will be pleasing to you. Whenever I tell any devotee that I am your disciple, they invariably remember your qualities and glorious service and out of their regard for you treat me with respect, but I feel that I do not deserve it, as I have not yet imbibed your qualities or your service attitude. Just as you have mentioned in some of your lectures, when we are running in a race, we always focus on those who are running ahead of us, similarly, when we are not feeling very enthusiastic we should look up to the example of our acharyas and senior devotees. But if I can simply follow your example I will never run out of enthusiasm to continue to serve in Srila Prabhupada’s mission for your pleasure.
’sādhu-saṅga’, ‘sādhu-saṅga’—sarva-śāstre kaya
lava-mātra sādhu-saṅge sarva-siddhi haya
Simply by associating with a pure devotee, one becomes wonderfully advanced in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. I have experienced this in my life. By your mercy and the mercy of devotees, I am practising Krsna consciousness along with the members of my family – mother, wife and my three children – under the guidance of H G Caitanya Avatari Prabhu and H G Rasamayi mataji. I have been practicing Krsna consciousness for the last seven years, and now I am able to slowly appreciate the importance of sadhu sangha and how much it has helped me and my family progress in Krsna consciousness. Similarly, I hope that by your mercy I will also be able to understand and appreciate what we sing in the Guru Vandana every day “cakshu-dan dilo jei, janme janme prabhu sei, divya jnan hride prokasito”. I am not very well educated, and it is difficult for me to understand the sastras. Only by your mercy will I be able to understand the main purpose of Krsna consciousness and become determined in my service, without being deviated by my anarthas and other unimportant issues. It is my desire that whatever responsibilities I am given I should complete them for the pleasure of Guru and Gauranga in the best possible way.
I have started making some efforts to preach to the Marwari community in Bangalore, and with your blessings, I have developed several contacts. However, I find that my enthusiasm is wavering, due to which I am not able to cultivate the contacts that I have developed with the same enthusiasm that my seniors had when they cultivated me and helped me become a devotee.
I am living in a community of vaishnavas, it is my desire to dedicate my entire life to your service and continue to serve the vaishnavas without committing any Vaishnava aparadha.
I seek your blessings for my mother, wife and my children so that they can continue to be engaged in Krsna consciousness and advance in their spiritual lives.
I know that I am not worthy of seeking any blessings from you, however, I have faith that you know what is best for me and that you will bless me appropriately.
I would like to express my heartfelt and sincere thanks to you for everything in my life.
