Dearest Spiritual Father,
Please accept my most respectful obesiances! All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
On the auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I pray to Narasiṁhadeva to give you a healthy life so you can continue inspiring us to continue serving Prabhupāda’s mission. I hope to be attending this Vyāsa-pūjā ceremony in person in Māyāpur.
Guru Mahārāja, I want to thank you for instructing us to host my wedding in Śrī Māyāpur dhāma last year. I also want to apologize to you for showing any resistance, when we discussed this topic with you in September and October of 2021. While I always wanted to get married in front of Jagannātha in Rājāpur, I was skeptical as to whether my guests and family would be receptive to the idea. But thanks to your instruction, not only was I able to have the wedding that I had thought about, but we were able to provide our guests with a beautiful and memorable experience of visiting Śrī Māyāpur Dhāma. Many of our guests, that came to Śrī Māyāpur Dhāma for the first time, left with deep realizations. We are still receiving messages from our guests about how they loved the atmosphere and the campus of Māyāpur. None of this could have happened without your causeless mercy. Your attendance for two days of my wedding was the cherry on top of this delicious ice cream sundae, which made this one of the most memorable experiences of my life.
Guru Mahārāja, you are an inspiration in every way for your disciples. Recently, you received your Bhakti-vaibhava degree. It is a big message for all of your disciples, that there is never a shortage of time if we have the desire to perform any service for the Lord. You have never let your bodily limitations get in the way of your service to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
I am trying to imbibe a fraction of your dedication into my own life as I try to perform some minimum service to the Lord. As my wife Golokapriyā and I are starting our gṛhastha āśrama, we are trying to serve our Jagannātha, Baladeva, Subhadrā Deities at home. While I was trying to serve the Deities by myself previously, my standard of service was not very high when I was alone. Together, we are slowly trying to increase our standard of worship by doing morning program everyday including maṅgala-ārati and guru-pūjā. I have also started attending Bhakti-vaibhava classes online to enhance my spiritual education and increase my understanding of Bhāgavatam. I humbly request your blessings to continue improving in my service to our Deities.
Guru Mahārāja, we are also trying to connect with the German congregation here. The closest congregation to Frankfurt is in Wiesbaden, which is more than an hour away by car, with little or no public transport available. They have programs there once a month along with major festivals. I have made friends with another devotee in Frankfurt who has a car and is willing to drive me to and from the temple. Siṁhācalam dhāma, and Goloka dhāma are both five hours away by car. Because of the large distances, we are still not able to find regular association of devotees, and I request your blessing that we can find regular association, physical or virtual moving forward.
Thank you Guru Mahārāja for always showering me with your mercy and keeping me connected to serve You and Prabhupāda. I am excited to see you in Māyāpur in a few weeks.
Your spiritual son,
Nāmarasa Nimāi Dāsa
