Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances at Your lotus feet.
As a dear disciple of Śrīla Prabhupāda, You got much personal association of His Divine Grace and has been trained by him personally.
You know the heart of Śrīla Prabhupāda and very meticulously follow the instructions given by His Divine Grace. In fact, You’re still present among us despite your challenging health conditions just to fulfill the remaining instructions.
This year, at the last day of Navadvīpa-maṇḍala parikramā, we had Your Divine association at Rājāpur Jagannātha Temple. There I was shocked to see that one of Your eyes was bandaged, that water was running down from the other eye and nose and still You’re there just to hear the parikramā realizations from devotees.
It reminded me of an incident where a devotee asked - Why are You not taking rest despite such health issues, to which You responded - “I may be wounded but I have not left the battlefield.” You are tirelessly endeavoring very hard to spread this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement unlimitedly.
You always want to serve and care for the devotees, even at the cost of personal inconveniences. The festival helpdesks in Māyāpur during Gaura Pūrṇimā festival is a testimony of this. Devotees are deeply moved by Your loving gestures and enquiries about their well-being, when Your own health is in such a delicate status.
I fondly remember the great fortune bestowed by Lord upon us in Ujjain, where we got the rarest opportunity to render some vapu-sevā unto Your Divine Grace. I still cherish those memories and lament that I couldn’t fully utilize those service opportunities. Thus, I’m hankering to get such service again in near future, along with trying to render vāṇī-sevā sincerely.
Dear Guru Mahārāja, I want to follow your footsteps and want to inculcate at least some of your qualities.
I aspire to become fully obedient to the desires of Your Divine Grace; I just want to become an instrument in Your hands.
We’re assigned with the service of college preaching and we humbly beg your mercy in order to carry out this service sincerely and successfully for the pleasure of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Your Divine Grace.
Guru Mahārāja, I also request you humbly to keep me always under the shelter of Your lotus feet and never allow me to go astray from Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
An insignificant servant of Yours,
Acyuta Nāma Dāsa
