Hare Kṛṣṇa, Guru Mahārāja. Please accept my respectful obeisances.
All glories to you, and all glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
On this auspicious day of your appearance, I pray to Their Lordships Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Narasiṁha Deva, Gaura-Nitāi and Pañca-tattva to bless you always with good health, long life, and provide you complete protection.
Guru Mahārāja, I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for accepting me as your initiated disciple. I am very grateful for your causeless mercy toward a fool and a fallen soul like me.
It is only through your mercy that I got this opportunity to write a few words on this auspicious day of your Vyāsa-pūjā. I offer my respectful obeisances unto your lotus feet again and again.
Guru Mahārāja, you are an enlightened soul and an expert on the subjects of Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. You preach to the devotees by your own personal example. You need not study the bhakti courses like Bhakti-vṛkṣa and Bhakti-vaibhava. Even then, you had taken up and studied these courses in order to set an example to the devotees and disciples and to emphasize the importance of reading and understanding the spiritual scriptures. Your lectures are so wonderful to listen to, and your way of telling stories is really very interesting. I have completed Bhakti-śāstrī and would like to study Bhakti-vaibhava. I seek your blessings to study Bhakti-vaibhava.
Your determination and enthusiasm to serve Lord Kṛṣṇa and to spread this glorious mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda to the whole world is amazing and very much inspiring. Despite having many health issues, you are always prompt in taking classes, attending meetings, initiating new disciples to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness, and you have never compromised on your preaching even during the days of your ill health. This quality of yours is very amazing and inspiring to me.
I seek your mercy and blessings to improve my sādhana, the quality of my chanting, to read Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books, and for my good health. Whatever little service I get to do in the yātrā is all because of your blessings and mercy on me. Guru Mahārāja, I beg you to please forgive me for all my offenses. I also seek your blessings for the spiritual well-being of my husband Śaṅkar and my son Kārttika.
All glories to you, Guru Mahārāja.
Your humble servant,
Ratirūpā Hariṇī Devī Dāsī
