Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Shrideep Paul (Jamshedpur - India)

My dear Mahārāja,

I compose this humble Vyāsa-pūjā offering to Your Holiness with utmost veneration and gratitude. It has been decades since 1968 when you joined ISKCON, yet your glorious contributions to the movement remain invaluable. I have never seen such a powerful and inspiring personality as Your Holiness, who is always on his toes to preach the message of Godhead throughout every town and village—even if that would mean accepting an earthful of inconveniences!

Dear Mahārāja, you have epitomized Śrīman Nityānanda Rāma’s patience, compassion, and mercy potency. You are always eager to deliver every fallen soul in this world—including this most fallen beggar. I offer my gratitude and obeisances to you millions of times!

In fact, in the Godruma Kalpāṭavī, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura writes:

“Whenever and wherever a pure devotee accepts birth, he takes up and continues the pastimes of this marketing of the Holy Name.”
Indeed, you are a pure devotee whose sole objective is to spread the glories of the Holy Names of Kṛṣṇa! A pure devotee like Your Holiness is rare—even among the brahmarṣis!

Dear Śrīla Ācāryapāda, as the days progress in Kali-yuga, there is an incessant increase in disunity, inharmony, quarrels, and hypocrisy. Yet by the tireless efforts and pure devotional potency of Your Holiness, you inspire people to hold on to the boat called ISKCON, which ultimately leads all its passengers to the eternal spiritual kingdom of Kṛṣṇa! The Sārasvata Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Saṅgha is a testimony that you have been instrumental in preserving unity in the Sārasvata Vaiṣṇava lineage—as ordained by Śrīla Prabhupāda! Moreover, your purity and childlike innocence—like Mahārāja Prahlāda—continue to touch the hearts of many.

Dear Mahārāja, I never had the good fortune to behold Śrīla Prabhupāda’s vapu-form with my eyes. Yet, when I see you—when I see you preaching despite such severe health concerns—it appears to me ever more strongly that you are none other than the preaching potency of Śrīla Prabhupāda personified, whose spirit cannot be checked by any material impediment! Whenever I face tribulations in life and devotional service, I draw inspiration from your service attitude, which gives me immense strength and forbearance. Dear Mahārāja, you truly live to serve and serve to live! All glories to you!

Recently, your scintillating contributions to the world garnered you the ‘Hindu Ratna Award,’ and I take this opportunity to offer my humble congratulations. On this most auspicious Vyāsa-pūjā of our dearest Ācāryapāda, I beg to offer my obeisances at your lotus feet. I consider myself wholly unfit to compose words of appreciation for Your Holiness. Your glories are infinite. I pray to you for kind compassion, mercy, and blessings.

Your Vyāsa-pūjā day is a day of rejoicing for fallen souls like me, and I sincerely desire to attain a drop of your causeless mercy, which alone can make my devotional life eternally perfect.

Praying and begging to be helpful in your mission, I remain,
Your most infructuous servant forever,
Srideep
