Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Jhanvi Thothawala (Ahmedabad - India)

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!
All glories to you on your auspicious Vyāsa-pūjā day!

Guru Mahārāja, I feel so fortunate to be writing this Vyāsa-pūjā offering to you. As stated in the scriptures, after many pious births, one gets the opportunity to take shelter of and serve a genuine spiritual master. You have dedicated your entire life to fulfilling the mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda, and you continue to teach and inspire all of us by your own exalted example.

The way you pursue courses like Bhakti-vedānta and Bhakti-sarvabhauma, even in your condition, deeply encourages all your disciples—myself included—to approach Kṛṣṇa consciousness seriously, by studying śāstra in a structured and sincere way. You are the only inspiration driving my spiritual life.

Since taking shelter, it feels as if I have found my true spiritual home. Developing faith in your instructions has deepened my faith in the holy name. To confess honestly, I used to chant quite carelessly. But now, through your lectures and instructions, I have started taking chanting seriously, and I humbly seek your blessings to improve even more.

Inspired by your enthusiasm for scriptural study, I have taken up the Bhakti-śāstrī course from ISKCON Ahmedabad, and I am trying my best to learn from senior disciples. Studying is bringing so much joy and clarity into my spiritual journey.

Guru Mahārāja, I would also like to share that I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Yoga, and my research topic is focused on Aciñtya-bhedābheda-tattva and its relevance in bhakti-yoga. Through this, I hope to deepen my own spiritual realization and also contribute to the preaching of the holy name. I kindly seek your blessings for this endeavor.

Guru Mahārāja, I humbly beg you to accept me as your initiated disciple, as your spiritual daughter. I wish to attend your Vyāsa-pūjā celebration in Śrīdhāma Māyāpur this year and have the darśana of your lotus feet. Please pray for me, dear Gurudeva, and kindly lift me up from my material conditioning, so I may become purified and serve you wholeheartedly.

I make the following vow before you:

  • I will chant sixteen rounds daily without fail.

  • I will strictly follow all four regulative principles.

  • I will daily pray to Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Aṣṭa-sakhīs, Pañca-tattva, and Nṛsiṁha-deva for your good health and protection.

May you continue to serve your spiritual master with strength and enthusiasm, and may we, as your aspiring servants, serve you by doing our part in spreading the holy name throughout the world.

I always beg for your mercy, your shelter, and the opportunity to serve you, and I promise to do my best to make you smile through my efforts in sādhana and preaching.

Your insignificant servant,
Jhanvi Thothawala
