Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!
All glories to you on your auspicious day of Vyāsa-pūjā.
Guru Mahārāja, I feel so fortunate writing this Vyāsa-pūjā offering for you; as it is said in the scriptures that after many pious births one gets the opportunity to take shelter of and serve a guru. You have dedicated your entire life to fulfill the mission of your guru, Śrīla Prabhupāda, and you teach and inspire by your own example. The way you are taking up the courses like Bhakti-vedānta and Bhakti-sārvabhauma, it really encourages all your disciples like myself to take up the understanding of spiritual life by the study of scriptures in a systematic way. You are the only inspiration that is driving my spiritual life.
Guru Mahārāja, since the day I have been sheltered, it’s been like I have found my home. Slowly developing faith in following your instructions has helped me build my faith in the holy name. Honestly confessing, I used to chant very carelessly at first, but since I have started taking your association in the form of listening to your lectures and following your instructions, I have taken chanting very seriously, and I seek your blessings to improve the same. Getting inspired by your enthusiasm to take up spiritual courses and study the scriptures, it fills my heart with immense joy to inform you that I have taken up Bhakti-śāstrī course from the temple (ISKCON Ahmedabad), and I am trying my best to learn the scriptures from senior disciples.
I also want to say, Guru Mahārāja, that I am pursuing my PhD in Yoga, and I desire to present my research topic on “Acintya-bhedābheda-tattva,” and its relation with bhakti-yoga. By this research, I intend to increase my spiritual understanding as well as contribute to the preaching of the holy name. I also seek blessings for the same. Guru Mahārāja, I humbly beg at your lotus feet to give me initiation and accept me as your dear spiritual daughter. I wish to come for your Vyāsa-pūjā in Śrīdhāma Māyāpur this year and have your darśana and blessings. Please keep me in your prayers, Guru Mahārāja. Please lift me up from my material conditioning so that I can be purified and serve you wholeheartedly by following all your instructions.
I promise to chant sixteen rounds every single day without fail, and follow all the regulative principles as mentioned. I daily pray to Rādhā-Mādhava Aṣṭa-sakhīs, Pañca-tattva, and Nṛsiṁha-deva to protect you and keep your health in good condition so that you can serve your spiritual master, and we can serve ours! I always beg for mercy and service at your lotus feet, trying my best to progress in spiritual life and make you smile by little efforts in chanting and spreading the holy name all around the world.
Your insignificant servant,
Jhanvi Thothawala
