Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
On this most auspicious day of your appearance, I offer my heartfelt gratitude to you.
During my shelter process in October 2023, I didn’t have to go through any formal difficulties.
I wanted to receive dīkṣā from you, Guru Mahārāja, but someone told me that since you might not be giving dīkṣā anymore, I felt discouraged, thinking I wouldn’t have the luck of receiving dīkṣā from you.
One day, my son took me to His Grace Arunakanti Prabhuji, and he informed us that the shelter process would be happening and also that we would get to be a part of it. I was surprised and, with all devotion, took shelter.
One day, you visited the Delhi temple, and I was extremely happy to be in the same hall as you. Your divine face brought immense peace to my mind. I would have never even thought in my dreams, but this was just the beginning.
Receiving dīkṣā from you was nothing short of a miracle. After all this time, and several hindrances, on the day of the dīkṣā I was skeptical that I’d be able to receive dīkṣā from you, but all glories to His Grace Madhavkant Prabhuji, everything went smoothly. Except, you weren’t well, but you were in all our thoughts.
Since you live in Māyāpur, I thought it would be forever until I got to see you again. But with Kṛṣṇa’s mercy...
A few months later, I received a WhatsApp message—Guru Mahārāja, you were coming to Delhi for your treatment. Because of that, we would be able to celebrate your Vyāsa Pūjā in Delhi. I was about to move to Noida, on the outskirts of New Delhi. We were told since the Delhi Temple was a little small for such a large gathering, the Vyāsa Pūjā was going to take place in Noida. Noida—my permanent home to be.
You came to my city, a blessing so great I can’t explain in words. I was constantly tearing up—everyone was dancing, singing, and celebrating. Despite your condition, you were blessing us all. It’s confirmed—my bond with you is something beyond the material world. Your words “Noida is Nāḍīya” will forever stay with me.
Then, you visited the Delhi Temple again in the auditorium, and I was lucky enough to be there at that time as well. A true gift. My luck couldn’t have been better.
In all of these meetings, I kept feeling like you knew me. Every time I felt like it would be the last time I got to see you, but I got to see you in unexpected ways. It’s like every time I wished to see you, you knew and my wishes were fulfilled immediately.
To further explore this sacred bond between a student and teacher, I wrote an email to you regarding my service for you, and after some time, you replied that I can opt for any sevā of my choice, which is listed on your app. Since I am from a musical background, I chose kīrtana sevā.
Then came the day I never thought would ever come. It was my birthday, and I was about to receive the best gift ever: a trip to Māyāpur. This time, I was coming to see you, Guru Mahārāja. After all this time, I was finally coming to see you. I was coming to Māyāpur. I’ll never forget the day I was at the Māyāpur temple and you entered crossing right beside me. The instant I realized it was you, I immediately laid on the floor, pranāma Gurudev. I finally got to see you in Māyāpur. Since that day and for the next week, I attended your classes at the Lotus Building. Not a little moment, not a little glance, but so many collective hours of knowledge from you. Divine intervention.
Because of your mercy, I’m writing to you from Māyāpur, my second visit. See you in class this evening.
Kindly bless me, Gurudev, so that I can do kīrtana for the Pañca-tattva's satisfaction one day.
Your servant,
Guṇamāyī Padmā Devī Mātājī
