Dearest Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept our respectful obeisances at your lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to Your Divine Self!
We are all excited and looking forward to celebrating your 76th Vyāsa-pūjā here in Canada.
Though this year was slightly better than the last in terms of your health, we still experienced some setbacks. But your enthusiasm to serve and fulfill our dear Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions only continues to increase! You always say that you feel so indebted to Śrīla Prabhupāda and that you are trying to repay the debt you owe to him by carrying out the instructions he personally gave you.
Guru Mahārāja, I pray that by your mercy I may also imbibe even an iota of that enthusiasm to serve you in this lifetime. I am deeply thankful to you for having given me the service of transcribing your classes. I feel so indebted for this opportunity and do not know what good karma I must have performed to have been accepted by you as your spiritual daughter!
My husband, Bhakta Vijay, is chanting two or three rounds most days, though he is not very regular when traveling. As I had written last year, we relocated to Canada—specifically Mississauga—in January of this year, as Vijay left his regular job and is now working in private consultancy in the automobile sector.
Our daughter, Mādhavī Gopī, and her husband Aman are also in Brampton, Canada. As she had written to you and received your kind permission, she now hopes to take initiation from His Grace Vaiśeṣika dāsa Adhikārī prabhu. Of course, you will no doubt always continue to be her śikṣā-guru, as she still considers you her first guru.
Aman chants a few rounds on some days, Guru Mahārāja, and that is a big improvement, as previously he was only chanting three Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantras a day. It is all your mercy and blessings, dear Guru Mahārāja!
With your prayers, they are trying to have a Kṛṣṇa conscious, healthy suputra or suputrī, but as of now, they have not had success.
We continually chant extra rounds, perform Tulasī parikramās, and recite Nṛsiṁhadeva and Dhanvantari prayers for your well-being—that you may continue to travel and spread the mercy of Lord Caitanya to many, many fallen souls.
We beg you to please continue to pray for us—that we may remain fixed in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, always remember Kṛṣṇa, and never forget Kṛṣṇa.
Your spiritual children,
Bhakta Vijay Rāo
Jayarāśeśvarī devī dāsī
Bhaktin Mādhavī Gopī (your śikṣā disciple)
