Hare Kṛṣṇa!
All Glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All Glories to His Holiness Śrīla Jayapatākā Swami Guru Mahārāja!
My Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.
I have no qualification to glorify such a pure soul like you, but just as a small bird tries to fly according to its capacity, I am humbly attempting to express my heartfelt gratitude for my beloved Guru Mahārāja.
In January 2020, I met some devotees for the first time in Gorakhpur, and I was deeply impressed by their association. One day, they were discussing the importance of having a Guru and the process of first initiation. I stood nearby, listening attentively. Some of them were speaking about His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja. At that time, I did not fully understand the significance of having a Guru, so I asked one of the devotees how I could receive my spiritual master. He advised me to sincerely pray to Śrīla Prabhupāda. I kept his words close to my heart and began praying earnestly to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Then, one day, quite unexpectedly, someone informed me that His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja would be visiting our homes through Zoom in just a few minutes. I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to offer him. Many devotees had prepared beautiful offerings, but I had nothing at hand. In my simplicity, I placed a small glass of milk before Guru Mahārāja.
That was the first time I saw Guru Mahārāja, and he saw me. He kindly accepted my offering and bestowed his blessings upon me and my son.
Guru Mahārāja is a great inspiration for fallen souls like me. As Śrīla Prabhupāda has stated, His Holiness Jayapatākā Swami Mahārāja is the Victory Flag of ISKCON.
Guru Mahārāja continues to inspire thousands of fallen souls, just as he has mercifully showered his blessings upon me, the most insignificant soul in the world. Despite enduring many physical difficulties and health complications, Guru Mahārāja remains fully dedicated to serving Śrīla Prabhupāda and his divine mission with unwavering devotion.
Oh my merciful spiritual master, kindly pray for me and bless me so that I may become an instrument in your service.
Your humble servant,
Vrajabhakti Mādhavī Devī Dāsī
