Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Janeśvara Gaurāṅga Dāsa (Atlanta - United States of America)

3-10-2025

Dearest Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most humble and respectful prostrated obeisances in the dust of your lotus feet on this very auspicious day of your 76th Vyāsa-pūjā celebration.

As always, I would like to start by offering my sincere thanks to you for accepting me as your disciple some sixteen years ago in New Panihāṭi Dhāma, Atlanta.

I always remember how merciful you are and how determined you are in serving your Guru Mahārāja, Śrīla Prabhupāda.

In spite of so many health issues, you continue to travel around the world, giving your association to all of your disciples, non-disciples, and all sincere souls who want to make spiritual progress.

You have mentioned on several occasions that Śrīla Prabhupāda wanted you to preach unlimitedly. You have taken this order—as well as many other instructions given to you by Śrīla Prabhupāda—as your life’s mission. Even after your liver and kidney transplant, you traveled the world to carry out your mission.

Recently, due to kidney failure, you have been put on dialysis again. Having to undergo dialysis multiple times a week, an ordinary individual would be restricted in his or her travels. But this is not the case with you. You are not an ordinary person but an empowered associate of Lord Caitanya, always determined to serve Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga. Your continued travels within and outside of India are a testament to your resilience.

As a responsible disciple, I also want to follow in your footsteps and develop the proper mood in serving Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga. Only by pleasing you can I have any hope of the mercy of Gaura-Nitāi.

Śrīla Gurudeva, I would like to thank you for giving your blessings to my wife, Varsānā Citra Devī Dāsī, and myself during our recent visit to Śrīdhāma Māyāpur.

You always inspire us and give us words of encouragement so that we can progress nicely in our spiritual lives. In spite of so many responsibilities, you find time for all of us as a very caring father.

Only by pleasing you can I have any hope of the mercy of Gaura-Nitāi. Guru Mahārāja, I therefore continue to beg for your mercy and blessings upon Varsānā Citra Devī Dāsī and myself so that we can increase our preaching activities of book distribution, harināma, and Nāma-haṭṭa programs.

Thank you again for everything.

Your insignificant disciple,
Janeśvara Gaurāṅga Dāsa
