Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Kaivalya Sundarī Devī Dāsī (New Talavan, Mississippi - United States of America)

My Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my respectful obeisances in the dust of your lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda, and all glories to his stalwart victory flag—his dear Jayapatākā Swāmī!

Guru Mahārāja, for years and years, and decades and decades, I have been mostly serving in separation. They say that vāṇī is the highest position of service, because it is service to your instructions while in separation.

I have watched you over the years, and no matter what health challenge or crisis comes your way, there is a pattern. Your disciples are told to pray, and we pray in various ways—chanting mantras, circumambulating Tulasī Mahārāṇī, fasting, touching the Deities’ feet in prayer—and every time, Kṛṣṇa has allowed you to pull through.

Indeed, serving you from a distance has been a blessing in disguise, because as enlivening as it is whenever I get the chance to serve you in your vāpu, this serving in separation is what will get me back to the spiritual world. In the end, we will have to fly our own plane, and Guru Mahārāja, you have prepared me for that.

All I can do is work on myself and try to remember the most famous verse from Śikṣāṣṭaka:

tṛṇād api sunīcena
taror api sahiṣṇunā
amāninā mānadena
kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ

Basically, the only thing preventing me from the spiritual world is my own attachments, my own false ego, and my own failure to take every moment of life seriously enough to give up all things unrelated to bhakti.

Dear Guru Mahārāja, please bless me to take to this process with much more determination and enthusiasm. Please bless me to transcend the ups and downs of material life and become a pure devotee.

Please bless me to be able to offer all respects to others while not expecting respect in return. If I can somehow have even a few of your spiritual qualities, there will be much hope for me!

On this most auspicious day of your Vyāsa-pūjā of 2025, please forgive any offenses I may have committed unto your lotus feet.

Wishing you bliss and love in Kṛṣṇa consciousness today and every day,

Your spiritual daughter,
Kaivalyā Sundarī Devī Dāsī
