Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Saranmukhī Devī Dāsī (Sydney - Australia)

Hare Kṛṣṇa, dear beloved Śrīla Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances at the dust of your beautifully divine lotus feet.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda. All glories to you, Śrīla Gurudeva.

“One cannot go back to Godhead without becoming a slave of the spiritual master.”
— This is said by Śrī Purandara Dāsa from Karnataka:
Guruvina gulāmanāguvatanaka doreyadanna mukuti.

Dear Gurudeva, I don’t know what sukṛti I had done in my previous janmas to have received your mercy. It is actually only and only your mercy.

I have never seen anyone like you anywhere, dear Gurudeva. You are not from this world. It is very evident that you have descended straight from Navadvīpa. Śrīla Prabhupāda said that you are Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu’s associate.

Even to this day, I wonder how a most fallen sinner and aparādhī like me could have received initiation from such a pure, mahārathi commander-in-chief disciple of Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Dear Gurudeva, I love and adore your most beautiful qualities—your extreme tolerance, patience, kṛpā, dayā, indescribable enthusiasm, wit, humour, vast intelligence, foresightedness, talent, poetic skills, and so many more qualities which I can never even fully grasp.

Dear Gurudeva, I love all your most beautiful pastimes. I have many favorites which are etched in my mind and soul. Your extraordinary surrender to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission is exemplary.

Your courage and tenacity when you were attacked in Madrid is like that of a transcendental hero in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s army. Your limitless compassion—to go through both a liver and kidney transplant just so that you could be there for us—is not from this world. Your awesome compassion for all your disciples and even the disciples of your Godbrothers also comes straight from Navadvīpa-dhāma.

Your praṇāma-mantra is so potent because it describes you. I have experienced this. Your JPS App is a source of great bliss—to read all about your beautiful transcendental activities. I feel so blissful to read whatever you have read that day, and to meditate on which verse in your reading might have brought tears of bliss to your divine eyes.

Śrīla Gurudeva, I would like to narrate many of your līlās, but I am keeping it short so that this homage doesn’t become too lengthy.

Today, Śrīdhāma Māyāpur is what it is due to your surrender, sacrifice, and indescribable dedication.

Unlimited devotees are now taking darśana of Their Lordships because of your surrender.

You are still inspiring crores of people all over the world.

Even though I am not qualified to glorify you, I have attempted to—just like a firefly trying to glorify the sun.

I pray that Lord Narasiṁhadeva grants you strength and vigor to fulfill as many of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions as you can.

Praying to remain as a speck of dust at your lotus feet, dear Gurudeva.

Your mercy case,
Śaraṇmukhī Devī Dāsī
