Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Nayana Mañjarī Devī Dāsī (Washington D.C. - United States of America)

My Dear Spiritual Father,

Please accept my respectful obeisances.
All glories to Your Divine Grace.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

On the very auspicious day of Your Divine Grace’s Vyāsa-pūjā, I just want to share my realization that just as Mahāprabhu is most magnanimous (mahā-vadānyāya)—one who gives the highest thing to the lowest people in the easiest way (Kṛṣṇa-prema to Jagāi and Mādhāi in the form of chanting)—similarly, dear Gurudeva, You have made the highest thing (love of Godhead) possible for the lowest of mankind in a female body with no qualification, by accepting me and initiating me into the process of chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, which is the easiest process in Kali-yuga to achieve the highest goal. Therefore, Your Divine Grace is the most magnanimous.

You are an ocean of mercy, and my hope is that when the rain of mercy lands in my dry heart—parched due to the scorching heat of lust over lifetimes—it will become soft and fertile, thus giving rise to the seeds of nava-vidhā-bhakti. With proper watering—through chanting and hearing—the creeper of devotion will rise high into the sky to the lotus feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa, all by Your mercy.

I was reading Caitanya-caritāmṛta and came across a text:

Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Antya-līlā 3.4.47

durdaive sevaka yadi yāya anya sthāne
sei ṭhākura dhanya tāre cule dhari’ āne

“If by chance a servant falls down and goes somewhere else, glorious is that master who captures him and brings him back by the hair.”

And reading this, I was thinking that Your Divine Grace is that glorious master for me. If for any reason I go astray, please keep me in Your shelter always—even though I am undeserving. You have very kindly made my good fortune, and You are my only hope!

On this most auspicious day, I pray for Your Divine Grace’s good health and well-being. I pray to Śrī Śrī Prahlāda Nṛsiṁhadeva, Śrī Śrī Pañca-tattva, Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, and Śrī Śrī Jagannātha, Baladeva, Subhadrā-mayī and Sudarśana Cakra to bestow Their choicest blessings upon Your Divine Grace—today and always.

Thank You for everything.

In gratitude,
Your insignificant daughter,
Nayanamañjarī Devī Dāsī
