Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Govardhana Giri Dāsa (Chennai - India)

Dear most revered Gurudeva,

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Śrī Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda, savior of the whole world!
All glories to Your Holiness, the confidential servitor of Śrīla Prabhupāda!

On this most auspicious occasion of your divine appearance in this world, I pray to Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Śrī Śrī Pañca Tattva, and Śrī Prahlāda Nṛsiṁha for Your Holiness’ protection.

Words will surely fall short if I try to express my gratitude for your causeless mercy upon me and other conditioned souls in this material world. As the empowered servant of the mahā-bhāgavata Śrīla Prabhupāda, Your Holiness is tirelessly engaged in reclaiming fallen souls and guiding them in the journey of sat-saṅga and, ultimately, surrender at the lotus feet of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa.

How wonderfully you make all the Māyāpur-vāsī Vaiṣṇavas think about how to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness to the tens of thousands of visitors who throng Māyāpur every day by repeatedly mentioning it during your weekly Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam classes in the temple!

At the same time, Your Holiness continues to guide, inspire, and help the disciples deal with the individual and collective problems they face.

Guru’s words are the guiding light of a disciple’s life. In my own personal experience, your transcendental words have proven so, time and again. I am indeed among the most fortunate persons in this material world to have been accepted as a disciple by Your Holiness.

As the sage Śrī Prabhudda advises King Nimi (Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 11.3.21):

tasmād guruṁ prapadyeta jijñāsuḥ śreya uttamam
śabde pare ca niṣṇātaṁ brahmaṇy upaśamāśrayam

I understand that Your Holiness is that spiritual master who is fixed on the Absolute Truth, knowing Kṛṣṇa perfectly and fully renounced. Simply by following your instructions, I shall be able to attain śreya uttamam, the highest good.

Please bless me so that I get the strength to follow your instructions and attain the highest good.

Dāso’smi,
Govardhana Giri dāsa
