Hare Kṛṣṇa, Dear Guru Mahārāja,
All glories to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to this saṅkīrtana movement!
Please accept my humble and heartfelt wishes on the most divine occasion of your 76th Vyāsa-pūjā ceremony.
Guru Mahārāja,
I was reading your recent monthly message for Mādhava Māsa, where I found so many valuable instructions to follow. I am very insignificant and introverted by nature, but still, with my limited capacity, I try to serve you whenever any opportunity arises—using whatever mere intellect Kṛṣṇa has blessed me with.
You emphasize in every monthly message the importance of reading Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books. With the help of my brother-in-law, Prithu Mahārāja dāsa, we started a small online reading group every night with 10–12 devotees (excluding the weekly in-person Nāma-haṭṭa program). By your mercy, we began this group on 15th August last year, and so far, we have completed:
-
Yugācārya Śrīla Prabhupāda,
-
Life and Teachings of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and
-
Nectar of Instruction.
Before Nityānanda Trayodaśī, for one week we paused regular reading and instead heard the glories of Nityānanda Prabhu from Caitanya-bhāgavata and a compilation by H.G. Vakreśvarī Mātaji.
After each session, Prithu Mahārāja prabhu kindly explained the procedure for initiation, discussed the 20 questions from the Nāma-haṭṭa manual, and also covered the meaning of the 10 offenses to the holy name. Despite personal challenges, he continues selflessly, and now we are resuming our reading with Prabhupāda Kathāmṛta.
Unexpectedly, by your mercy, we also started a morning online japa session with the same group to help improve our chanting. You also emphasized chanting in your Mādhava Māsa message, and I feel this initiative was further confirmation of your inspiration.
By the same group’s effort, we even performed dramas on Kṣīra-corā Gopīnātha and Hera Pañcamī during the last Ratha-yātrā held in our local area. Everyone in the group is experiencing bliss and spiritual joy.
But Māyā is very strong, and she will certainly try to test us in the future. We humbly beg for your blessings and mercy so we can continue this online saṅga steadily and remain in the sincere association of devotees.
This year has brought many ups and downs in my spiritual life, but the only desire I hold onto is that I may never leave this path. I want to continue following your instructions and those of the previous ācāryas.
Earlier I used to regularly listen to your Caitanya-līlā classes on YouTube, but now I have lost that habit and deeply regret it. Please bless me so that I may rekindle this habit and continue it until my last breath.
May I always remain in the association of sincere devotees without committing offenses and develop a genuine mood of selfless service toward them.
And most importantly, Guru Mahārāja, please bless me so that I may develop a little attachment to the chanting of the holy name, from which I feel so far removed.
Your insignificant servant,
