Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
On this auspicious day of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I am reminded of your infinite mercy, tolerance, and unwavering dedication to spreading the mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda across the world. Your life is a beacon of hope and inspiration for those of us who strive to follow in your footsteps, especially amidst the challenges and adversities of life.
Guru Mahārāja, as your servant, I must share with you the trials we are enduring in our village. One of our close blood relatives, once a dedicated servant of Lord Kṛṣṇa, fell prey to material attachments, leading to challenging circumstances. We have also faced attacks and threats from mentally unstable individuals backed by corrupt political leaders who are intoxicated by caste pride and power. These forces, with their selfish motives, have even passed judgments against us through illegitimate means. Despite the threats, injustices, and caste-based discrimination, we remain steadfast in our devotion to Lord Kṛṣṇa and your teachings.
Your divine guidance has always reminded us to rely on the principles of truth, dharma, and bhakti. Inspired by your teachings, we have taken our grievances to the Chief Minister's Cell of Tamil Nadu and the grievance cells of the President and Prime Minister of India. Although the road is difficult, your example as a fearless and tireless preacher of Kṛṣṇa consciousness gives us the strength to persevere.
Guru Mahārāja, your compassionate heart has taught us that no matter how much the material world conspires against us, we should remain fixed in our service to Kṛṣṇa, our faith in the Lord’s protection, and our mission to uplift society with Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Your life demonstrates how to transform challenges into opportunities for deeper surrender to Kṛṣṇa and service to His devotees.
You have always emphasized the need to transcend temporary material designations like caste and ego, and instead, focus on our eternal identity as servants of Kṛṣṇa. Your words give us courage to rise above the pettiness of this world and continue our sevā, knowing that Kṛṣṇa is the ultimate protector of His devotees.
On this day, I pray for your blessings to serve you with greater sincerity and determination, to remain steadfast in the face of adversities, and to spread the glories of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, just as you have tirelessly done all over the world. May I follow your instructions, remain in the association of devotees, and continue to serve this glorious mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda under your shelter.
Guru Mahārāja, you are our eternal guide, our source of strength, and our connection to Kṛṣṇa. Your life is the living embodiment of the verse from the Bhagavad-gītā:
kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati
“O son of Kuntī, declare it boldly that My devotee never perishes.”
We offer our heartfelt gratitude to you for lighting the path of bhakti in this age of darkness. We pray that we may always remain your humble servants, holding on to your lotus feet and never deviating from your instructions.
Your eternal servant,
Rāmananda Caitanya Candra Dāsa
