Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Vinoda Gopīkeśa Dāsa (Mayapur - India)

oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā
cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ

Dearest Śrī Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most humble obeisances at the dust of your divine lotus feet. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!

On this most sacred and auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa Pūjā, I find myself at a loss for words, for no language can adequately capture the depth of gratitude and reverence I hold for you. It is only by your causeless mercy that I have been given the opportunity to glorify you today.

Śrīla Prabhupāda himself has declared that you are a personal associate of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, a divine servant sent from the spiritual world to deliver the fallen souls of this age. You are a beacon of Mahāprabhu’s compassion, illuminating the darkened path of material existence with the light of pure bhakti. You do not belong to this world, yet out of boundless mercy, you have chosen to descend into it, just to uplift suffering conditioned souls like myself.

The Gift of Your Divine Mercy
Without your mercy, I would be utterly lost, trapped in the endless cycle of birth and death, wandering aimlessly in search of happiness where none can be found. But by your grace, you have granted me the most precious gift—the opportunity to return home, back to Kṛṣṇa.

Through your divine instructions, your unparalleled example, and your ever-present guidance, I am beginning to understand what true devotional service is. Your mercy is not ordinary—it is the flow of pure devotion descending from the eternal realm of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa and Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, touching the hearts of those who are fortunate enough to receive it.

You are not just a teacher, nor merely a guide—you are my eternal savior, my spiritual father, my shelter, and my hope. You have taken on the immense burden of uplifting even the most fallen souls, giving them the means to transcend the sufferings of this world and enter into the eternal service of Kṛṣṇa.

Your tireless efforts in spreading the teachings of Bhagavad-gītā, Upadeśāmṛta, and the words of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu are nothing less than a direct continuation of Mahāprabhu’s saṅkīrtana movement. You have dedicated every breath of your life to fulfilling the mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda, ensuring that his divine message reaches all corners of the world.

By your words and actions, you demonstrate the essence of śaraṇāgati (complete surrender), showing us how to serve Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga with unwavering faith and devotion. Your service to the disciplic succession is unparalleled, and your unwavering dedication to Śrī Guru-paramparā is a living example of absolute surrender to Kṛṣṇa’s will.

Your Unparalleled Dedication to Guru and Gaurāṅga
Guru Mahārāja, you have accepted the weight of Mahāprabhu’s mission with great responsibility, without consideration of personal comfort. You endure all difficulties just to ensure that Śrīla Prabhupāda’s transcendental mission flourishes in this world.

Your life is a constant sacrifice, a demonstration of what it means to live purely for the service of Guru and Kṛṣṇa. You travel tirelessly, preaching the message of Bhagavad-gītā, distributing transcendental books, initiating devotees into the process of bhakti, and inspiring countless souls to dedicate their lives to Kṛṣṇa’s service.

Your compassion knows no bounds. Like a loving father, you patiently guide us, even though we are full of faults. No matter how many times we stumble, you never give up on us. Your mercy is causeless, your love is unconditional, and your guidance is infallible.

Who else but you can show us the way back to Kṛṣṇa? Who else but you can reveal the true essence of devotional service? Who else but you can awaken the dormant love for Kṛṣṇa within our hearts?

A Humble Prayer at Your Lotus Feet
Even though I am unqualified, I pray that I may serve you with sincerity and gratitude. I pray that I may absorb your instructions deeply into my heart, knowing that through service to you, I am directly serving Mahāprabhu’s divine plan.

I pray that I may never forget the rarest fortune of having your shelter. I pray that my faith in you remains unshaken, my surrender deepens, and my heart never deviates from the path you have mercifully revealed to me.

You are my eternal master, my eternal guardian, and my eternal shelter. I am completely dependent on your mercy, for without you, I have no hope of ever attaining Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet.

Conclusion: A Life of Service to You

On this most sacred day of your Vyāsa Pūjā, I beg for your continued mercy so that:

My faith never wavers.

My service never diminishes.

My heart remains forever dedicated to your lotus feet.

May I always be an instrument in your hands, assisting in your mission, and may my life be a humble offering in service to you.
I have no personal aspirations or independent desires—my only wish is that I may serve you eternally, life after life, in whatever way you see fit.
Your causeless mercy is my greatest treasure, and your lotus feet are my only shelter.

I remain forever your insignificant servant,
Vionda Gopīkeśa Dāsa
