Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Raghuvaṁśi Rāmacandra Dāsa (Bangalore - Sri Sri Narasimha Giridhari Mandir - India)

Dearest Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most respectful obeisances at your divine lotus feet!

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to Śrī Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!

The amount of good fortune that the Supreme Lord has showered on me is unimaginable, for it has resulted in Your Holiness accepting this most unqualified rascal as your disciple. Śrīla Prabhupāda revealed that you are an eternal associate of Lord Caitanya, and surely we can see it with our own eyes now, by way of your activities. I heard how once, when you were in the ICU for many days previously in 2015 at Delhi, you were unconscious for a few days and had multiple tubes attached to your body in different places. And in this condition, when you finally regained consciousness, you almost immediately asked your servants to bring an alphabet chart, and for 15 minutes you labored hard to form a sentence—which was: “Bring a counter and teach the nurse how to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa.” When I heard this, I was flabbergasted, for my conditioned mind could not imagine how—even in such a situation—one could struggle so hard to preach to an unknown person.

I am personally convinced that you are truly transcendental, just like how the scriptures glorify you. Your unending enthusiasm to preach and to serve the instructions of Śrīla Prabhupāda is most glorious.

I do not have any qualifications to call myself your disciple. I am dancing to the tunes of māyā, getting lashed by her repeatedly… still I am unable to realize that the only way out is to please you—to serve your instructions.

As we sing every day during maṅgala-ārati:

yasya prasādād bhagavat-prasādaḥ

“By satisfying the spiritual master, the Supreme Lord is satisfied.”

You have given a most glorious instruction—to make Bangalore the first Kṛṣṇa conscious city. Your senior disciples here are working very hard to fulfill your words, but I do not possess enough enthusiasm to serve as much as possible and keep your instructions in the center of my life. I am unable to realize this—still struggling with desires of how to satisfy myself and be comfortable...

I beg unto your lotus feet to kindly bless me with more and more enthusiasm to serve, and kindly grant me the strength to withstand the distractions of Māyādevī and be strongly attached to Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet. I have heard from so many of your disciples, and have myself experienced the fact that you know the heart of everyone. Certainly, you know my heart and its contents—so kindly help me. Let my mind be actively engaged in thoughts of how to please Guru and Kṛṣṇa, for that is the goal that fulfills all desires. Kindly also grant me the strength, enthusiasm, and determination to put in the required efforts.

Guru Mahārāja, you are truly patita-pāvana, and as far as I know, there is no one more patita than me—so in the spirit of Śrīla Narottama Dāsa Ṭhākura, dare I say, my claim is first.

Thank you so very much, Guru Mahārāja, for everything! Kindly bless me so that I develop more and more attachment and gratitude unto your lotus feet.

Śrīla Jayapatākā Svāmī Guru Mahārāja ki jaya!
Śrīla Jayapatākā Svāmī 76th Vyāsa-pūjā Mahotsava ki jaya!
Śrīla Prabhupāda ki jaya!

Your most insignificant servant,
Raghuvaṁśī Rāmacandra Dāsa
