Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Nāmarasa Nimāi dāsa ( - Germany)

Dearest Spiritual Father Guru Maharaj,

Please Accept My Most Respectful Obeisances!
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada!
All Glories to Your Divine Grace!

On this most auspicious occasion of your 75th Vyasa Puja, I would like to express how thankful I am that You have accepted me as Your disciple.  Not only do I not have any good qualities, but I am completely full of anarthas and so am not at all qualified to be Your disciple.

Guru Maharaj, by Your actions and words, You have always shown the way of how to be a perfect disciple.  In the Ramayan, there is the example of Shabri, who is a perfect disciple.  Shabri, on instruction of her spiritual master Matanga muni, waited for thirteen years for Lord Ram to visit her ashram.  When waiting for Lord Ram, she would daily prepare for Lord Ram’s visit by cleaning her hut and collecting fresh fruits to offer to the Lord.  Her faith and devotion in her Guru’s words were so strong that eventually Lord Ram visited her hut during exile.  Similarly, You are completely dedicated in following the words and instructions of Your Guru Srila Prabhupada.  Even though you are facing great outward physical discomfort to Your body, Your mind is completely focused on serving Srila Prabhupada and Gauranga, by spreading the Holy name to every town and village and building the Temple of Vedic Planetarium.

I pray to You and to their Lordships Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra that I can get just a fraction of dedication to Your words, that You have for Srila Prabhupada.  I know that this is the only way to get rid of anarthas, but I am so fallen that despite knowing this, sometimes I try to use my own intelligence in various situations, instead of just having faith in You and Gauranga.  From Your life, Guru Maharaj, we can learn that while no matter what situation we are in the material world, we can always focus our mind and intelligence in the service of Krishna.  That is the only way to alleviate the material suffering.

Guru Maharaj, on the auspicious occasion of Your Vyasa Puja, I would also like to beg forgiveness from you for offences I have committed at Your lotus feet.  Earlier this year we asked Your permission to relocate to Saudi Arabia.  And even though you had given Your permission, we decided to not relocate at this time.  One of the reasons we decided to not move was that we feel very connected to the congregating and devotees in Frankfurt, Germany, and we worried that we might not have the same opportunity to serve in a new place with many more restrictions.  I wanted to profusely apologize for taking your time and asking your opinion, and then making a different decision after you gave your thoughts.  Guru Maharaj, even in Your busy schedule You took time to reply to our email.  As Your disciples, we have to be more careful of when we send you email and ask for instructions.  Even though our intention was not to disobey Your orders, we have inadvertently made a decision which we did not ask Your permission for.

I just humbly pray at Your lotus feet that You can forgive this action of mine as a father forgives the act of an undisciplined child, when the child begs for forgiveness.

I also pray to Lord Nrisingha deva for Your good health as You continue to serve Srila Prabhupada and Gauranga!

Your insiginificant son,
Namarasa Nimai das
