Hare Kṛṣṇa! My dearest spiritual grandfather—and now my spiritual father—Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my most respectful and humble obeisances at the dust of your divine lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to Śrīla Jayapatākā Swāmī Guru Mahārāja!
O my dear Guru-pitā,
I will never find the right set of words to express my gratitude to Your Holiness for the unlimited mercy you have bestowed upon me. I am not qualified to even dare to glorify your divine personality; however, as the sinful person I am, I will not miss any opportunity to cleanse myself by offering glorification unto Your Holiness.
Every drop of water contributes to the creation of the vast ocean—so fast and immense that it cannot be measured. Along with each drop comes waste, pebbles, and thorns, which only add to the weight of the mighty ocean. Oh Gurudeva, you are that great ocean of mercy—a mercy that cannot be measured either materially or spiritually. You have taken upon yourself the weight of all our offenses (aparādhas) and countless sins, which we ourselves could never be freed from.
The ocean is said to be the most compassionate, as it gives life and shelter to innumerable living entities. In the same way, you have given prāṇa-dāna—life itself—to countless souls. Yet, even the fierce waves of the ocean can destroy everything in their path. But my dear Gurudeva, even the ocean falls short when compared to your compassion and mercy. You do not merely send waves of love—you engulf us in Nitai-kṛpā and Kṛṣṇa-prema. There is only the destruction of material suffering and the birth of eternal happiness.
Oh Pradāna!
I was that lifeless fish, trembling to be saved. You saved me from the mire of this material world, Gurudeva, by accepting me as your disciple. This life is far too short not only to repay you—but even to count the mercy you have showered upon me and my family.
Thank you for being my guide and my best friend—always.
A very happy 76th Vyāsa-pūjā, Gurudeva.
My deepest and most sincere prayers at the lotus feet of Śrī Bālājī for your swift and complete recovery.
Begging forgiveness countless times for my unlimited aparādhas.
