Vyāsa-pūjā 2023

Bhaktisiddhānta Swami (Mayapur - India)

Dearest Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my prostrated obeisances in the dust of your saṅkīrtana feet.

Being away physically from Māyāpur, however, I am always hearing of your sevās and stable guidance to all of my godbrothers and sisters. How wonderfully you are such a corner stone in our Iskcon society, steadily setting the example of ācāra and pracāra

You once told me how when you visited Śrīla Prabhupāda’s samādhi in Vṛndāvana, he came to you and asked you to become a ‘Father in Iskcon.’ You have done just that. Where ever I go I meet an unlimited collective of your dīkṣā and śikṣā dependents, who see you in this light.

In Māyāpur after a Ganga Safari, I had the honor of being by your side in front of Śrīla Prabhupāda at his Puṣpa Samādhi. You had tears in your eyes acknowledging that Śrīla Prabhupāda’s sweetness and presence can be especially felt through this mūrti. Śrīla Prabhupāda instructed you, ‘I give you the Spiritual world and you develop it.’ This moment with you for me was a confirmation of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s reciprocation with you; you have certainly accomplished this directive and many others.

From book distribution, temple construction, congregational preaching, management, initiations, what to speak of being an Iskcon father figure, you have created a wake with waves that are hitting the shores of searching souls, from  condionals to gṛhasthas, vānaprasthas, brahmacārīs, and sannyāsīs; you command a kalaidescope of personalities that are truly dedicated to Śrīla Prabhupāda. In a way, you are all pervasive in the hearts of your independents; even through swapna you even came to an elder Gopī in Vraja to ask about me. Thus is only a drop of your love and care for each of us.

In the years ahead, the society will face many tests regarding mainstream illusions. Your presence provides a firm footing for not only stability within Iskcon, but a healthy communication agenda that will reach the future generations. Thank you Guru Mahārāja for including me in some small way within this work.

Your most unworthy servant,
Bhaktisiddhānta Swami
