My most beloved Gurudeva,
Please accept my most humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to our dear Guru Mahārāja!
Dear Śrīla Gurudeva,
I wish you a very happy and prosperous Vyāsa-pūjā!
Guru Mahārāja, the year 2024 was filled with so much mercy and gaining of knowledge for me. It also marked one year since I received initiation from Your Holiness. Gurudeva, I am trying my best to follow the vows I have taken. By the mercy of you, Śrīla Prabhupāda, and Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu, I am going to finish my Bhakti-śāstrī soon, and it makes me so happy to share this with you.
Gurudeva, you are my most favorite person in the entire world. Anytime I see you—whether in person or in a picture—I am filled with immense joy and warmth. I always used to think to myself, “Why did I meet Gurudeva so late in my life?” But the real point is—I did get your divine blessings and the opportunity to become your daughter in this very lifetime.
There is none like you, O patita-pāvana! Please keep your warm, merciful hand over my head always.
Every minute of every passing hour of every passing day is a reminder of your tremendous sacrifice for all of us. Gurudeva, I aspire to attain even one percent of your determination to spread our Hare Kṛṣṇa movement.
One day, I was thinking about you, and I managed to write this poem in your glory. Please forgive me, Gurudeva—I am no poet:
In your light, we find our way,
Guided by love, each passing day.
With wisdom deep and heart so kind,
You lead us to peace, our souls entwined.
Śrīla Gurudeva, our beacon bright,
Your grace and mercy fill us with light.
In devotion’s embrace, we ever soar,
Grateful to serve you, forevermore.
It is only by your mercy that I am able to do anything. I beg your forgiveness for any and all mistakes I have made. Please give me the strength to do more and more and help serve Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava, Śrī Śrī Pañca-tattva, Śrī Śrī Prahlāda-Nṛsiṁha, and Śrīla Prabhupāda, even a little.
Gurudeva, it aches my heart to see you in pain, but I know you are doing it all out of love and compassion for all of us and for Śrīla Prabhupāda. I offer my most sincere prayers for your speedy recovery unto the lotus feet of Śrī Śrī Prahlāda-Nṛsiṁha.
Gurudeva, I aspire to serve you just as you serve your own Gurudeva. I promise you—I will work very hard to make you and Śrīla Prabhupāda happy.
Your daughter,
Prasanna Vrajeśvarī Devī Dāsī
