Hare Kṛṣṇa!
Daṇḍavat praṇāma, Śrīla Guru Mahārāja!
Please accept our humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.
It is a great pleasure that the whole world is celebrating your 76th Vyāsa-pūjā. It is a great privilege for a disciple to glorify his Guru Mahārāja. This world is full of darkness, and we did not know how to overcome the real problems of human life—janma, mṛtyu, jarā, and vyādhi—but by your causeless mercy, our lives have been illuminated with the hope that in this life, or after this life, we may attain liberation.
You are the foremost example of how to serve one’s guru. As the Vaiṣṇava song states, "guru-mukha-padma-vākya, cittete koriyā aikya," you have perfectly demonstrated this by fulfilling every single word of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions—building the glorious and grand TOVP, making thousands of disciples, and preaching all over the world. I am fully confident that all the demigods are assisting you in your divine mission.
You have given immense spiritual treasures to your disciples, such as:
-
Śrī-Vigraha Sevā
-
Chanting of the Holy Name
-
Unlimited Spiritual Festivals
-
Śrīdhāma Sevā
-
Association of Vaiṣṇavas
-
All Spiritual Scriptures
-
Enlightening Lectures
-
Spiritual Realizations
-
The Four Regulative Principles
-
Harināma Initiation
-
Wonderful Temples
-
Guru-paramparā, directly descending from Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s unlimited mercy
We do not possess even a single quality that qualifies us to glorify you, but by the causeless mercy of your pure disciples, His Grace Amṛteśa Kṛṣṇa Prabhu and Her Grace Rāsa-līlā Mātājī, we had the great fortune of meeting you. You have mercifully accepted us as your servants, and we desire to serve you life after life. However, due to our misfortune, we lack the true service attitude required to serve you and your beloved associates.
Śrīla Guru Mahārāja, please bless us so that we may become your loving children, whom you can wholeheartedly accept. Please bestow your blessings upon us by saying:
"kṛṣṇe matir astu"
We beg for your forgiveness for the innumerable offenses we may have committed at your divine lotus feet.
We also pray to Lord Narasiṁhadeva, Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava, Pañca-tattva, and Śrīla Prabhupāda to always keep you healthy, joyful, and enthusiastic—just as you always are!
Your insignificant servants,
Jagannātha Jitendriye Dāsa
