Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my respectful obeisances at your divine lotus feet, Gurudeva.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to you, Śrīla Gurudeva!
On this auspicious day of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I feel truly blessed to write to you, Gurudeva. You are not just an ordinary personality but a direct associate of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
I want to share something deeply personal with you. After my delivery, I was admitted to the hospital due to heart failure and spent time in the ICU. During that week, I was unable to remember Kṛṣṇa, and I couldn't chant my rounds. For an entire week, I failed to complete my 16 rounds, though I eventually resumed them. What inspired me to return to my chanting was meditating on you, Gurudeva.
No matter how serious your health condition may be, you never miss your chanting, and you are always 100% absorbed in Gaurāṅga consciousness. Sometimes, I feel that you go through your hospital līlās just to awaken and inspire lazy souls like me.
Gurudeva, you are my strength. Just remembering you or calling out to you automatically inspires me to engage in Kṛṣṇa-conscious activities. Recently, we heard that you were unwell and had a high fever, and all of us god-sisters started chanting extra rounds on Zoom for your health. Then, we received the message that you were giving a live class. How do you do this, Gurudeva? It is beyond my material comprehension. I have never seen a personality like you. I feel extremely fortunate and blessed to be your disciple.
O Gurudeva, Light of Endless Grace
O Gurudeva, light of endless grace,
In your presence, we find our sacred place.
With every step, you teach the way,
By your example, we learn each day.
Through trials and storms, you lead with care,
A beacon of love, always there.
In your remembrance, the Lord we find,
A reflection of His mercy, pure and kind.
From darkness, you lifted our soul’s despair,
A loving father, ever so rare.
Your touch, a balm for wounds unseen,
In your embrace, we live serene.
Merciful, kind, and full of love,
You guide us gently to realms above.
O Gurudeva, with heart so bright,
Your wisdom leads us toward the light.
In your grace, our spirits rise,
A gift of Gaurāṅga, beyond the skies.
Forever we’re blessed to walk your way,
With you, dear Gurudeva, every day.
Your insignificant servant,
Megharūpā Rādhā Devī Dāsī
