Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Your Divine Grace on this most auspicious day of your divine appearance.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, we offer our gratitude at your lotus feet for blessing the world with the nectar of the holy name of Kṛṣṇa. Here in Guyana, we feel deeply sheltered by our connection with your ISKCON, the boat you gave to carry the fallen souls across the dangerous ocean of material existence. You did not leave us with sentiment only; you gave us books, lectures, conversations, standards, and a complete way of life. These gifts are like beacons of light, showing us how to remain safely in that boat and to row together toward the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa.
You taught us that real purification comes by taking shelter of the holy name. We are grateful to be counted among your spiritual family members, but we also know that belonging to your movement carries responsibility. It is not enough that we admire your work from a distance. We must try to embody your instructions, make tangible progress toward kṛṣṇa-prema, and share that experience with others in a way that is sincere, interesting, and free from pride. As your servants at ISKCON of Guyana Hare Krishna Study Centre, we pray for the spiritual strength to keep practicing bhakti as you taught us and to remain faithful to your mission.
This year, by your mercy, we are preparing to celebrate many meaningful milestones. Internationally, we are honoring the sixtieth anniversary of ISKCON. Nationally, Guyana is celebrating sixty years of independence. Locally, we are remembering fifty years since your movement came to Guyana, twenty years of preaching in Georgetown, ten years since the inauguration of ISKCON of Guyana Hare Krishna Study Centre, and twenty years of our annual Ratha-yātrā in Georgetown, the East Coast, and the East Bank of Demerara.
These anniversaries make us feel both joyful and sober – joyful, because they remind us of how much mercy you have already given to our small country; sober, because they remind us that the real success of these celebrations will not be measured only in crowds, decorations, dignitaries, or programs, but by whether more people come in contact with the holy name, prasādam, your books, and the association of devotees. Our festival will spread across five days, with programs at different venues and devotees expected from the Caribbean, Latin America, South America, and beyond. We are also inviting local leaders and dignitaries, praying that their participation may encourage the people of Guyana to look more favorably upon your movement and come forward to receive your mercy.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, our center aspires to become the “very nice center” that you would be pleased to see. Our congregation is growing, and many gṛhastha couples are now raising wonderful, Kṛṣṇa conscious children. We pray for your merciful glance upon these children so that they may grow into steady, thoughtful, and courageous servants of your mission. We have also added a few more members to our local temple board. Kindly bless us with purity, maturity, cooperation, and good sense so that our management may never become merely administrative but may always remain an offering of service to you, guided by your instructions and standards.
We hope you will be pleased to hear that regular harināma-saṅkīrtana is taking place in markets and villages, along with book distribution and prasādam distribution. Many people are still happy and excited to see the devotees, and we pray that by your mercy and the mercy of Śrī Śrī Parama Karuṇā Nitāi-Gauracandra, their appreciation may deepen into serious attraction for devotional service. We have also begun an online and live japa session for one hour before maṅgala-ārati. Although attendance can improve, it has brought more life to the temple atmosphere. Our morning programs have remained consistent, with a few devotees attending regularly, and at the time of this offering, we are working to improve the temple surroundings so that devotees and guests may come more comfortably to hear and chant.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, there is so much more we could say, yet whatever we say is small before the mercy you have given. You built a house in which the whole world can live, and somehow, by your causeless mercy, even we in Guyana have been given a place within that house. We know there are many areas in which we are lacking. Still, on this sacred day of your Vyāsa-pūjā, we pray for the honesty to see our shortcomings, the humility to correct them, and the determination to serve your mission with renewed seriousness.
Please bless us that we may take full shelter of the holy name, follow your instructions sincerely, make our lives perfect, and share your mercy with every citizen of Guyana.

Please accept this humble attempt to glorify and please you, along with a few words of gratitude from your eternal and hopelessly indebted servants. As you have repeatedly pointed out, true glorification and expression of gratitude to the spiritual teacher lies not only in speaking refined words and expressing deep emotions during Vyāsa-pūjā ceremonies and similar events, but first and foremost in the daily sincere efforts to follow his instructions and example, no matter how difficult or inconvenient it may be.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, you have given us everything – your invaluable books, numerous temples, beautiful Deities, an extraordinary example of a selfless and sacrificial life, and many practical and wise instructions for all aspects of life. One could go on listing endlessly. But especially, I would like to thank you for your two most important and wonderful gifts. About twenty years ago, I heard words from His Holiness Radhanath Swami that became engraved on my heart, hopefully forever: “Śrīla Prabhupāda said that we can do without temples – we can do without everything. We don’t need money. If we can get it, we will use it. We don’t need property. If we get it, we will use it. We don’t need vehicles. If we get them, we will use them. We don’t need good public relations. If we get it, we will use it. But one thing we always need, at all times, for our spiritual survival, and that is the association of the devotees and the regular chanting of the holy names. If we lose either of these two, which are actually one in essence, then we lose our connection to Kṛṣṇa.
In this small country of Georgia, we are trying as best we can to serve the holy name and the Vaiṣṇavas. And you are reciprocating by sending more and more sincere souls and by sustaining the inspiration of those who are already practicing Vaiṣṇavas and Vaiṣṇavīs. Just a few years ago the situation was not so simple or optimistic. But now devotees hold harināmas each week on the streets of Tbilisi and Batumi, distribute your books, and with each passing year, the December marathon becomes more and more successful and inspiring. Educational programs for interested people and new devotees are constantly being held, and the beautiful Deities of Gaurāṅga and Nityānanda are worshiped with great love. This has become possible largely due to your steadfast and faithful follower, His Holiness Dayānanda Swami, as well as other senior Vaiṣṇavas and Vaiṣṇavīs who selflessly dedicate themselves to serving your mission. This is undoubtedly your special gift to our yātrā.
Please allow us to continue serving you more and more and better and better by spreading the harināma-saṅkīrtana of Lord Caitanya both externally and internally. In particular, we beg for your mercy so that your instructions and life example do not remain merely a magnificent monument that we admire from afar, but become the true essence of our lives, merging with our consciousness: guru-mukha-padma-vākya cittete koriyā aikya, ār nā koriho mane āśā.
We will try to make our community a truly united and loving family, where everyone cares for and worries about others more than themselves. But only by your mercy will we be able to obtain the necessary purity and strength for this. And finally, please bless us so that more and more local young people come to Kṛṣṇa and that we may care for them and help them become serious devotees so that Kṛṣṇa consciousness may take deep roots in this land and bear the desired fruits. Please engage us without obstruction in your eternal service to Śrī Guru and Śrī Gaurāṅga.

It is our great fortune that we are in touch with such a divine personality as yourself. You first came into my life in form of your Bhagavad-gītā purports, and by your mercy I then got contact with ISKCON and your devotees.
If one reads about your life struggles and the milestones you achieved, then definitely one will accept you as the jagat-guru, because what you did, no one else could do past, present, or future. You are a Vaikuṇṭha man and true spiritual human being, who came of your own free will into this world to deliver the three worlds by giving us Kṛṣṇa and His pure devotees, your books, a morning sādhana program, prasādam to honor, and so many other gifts. All of this was done when you were at the advanced age of seventy, when you went abroad to preach. Within twelve years you had circled the earth fourteen times and translated and commentated so many books. You also wrote thousands of letters and established over one hundred temples. You slept only two hours a day. All of this is proof that you are a divine human being.
Now, because of you, we have more than seven hundred temples around the world and Ratha-yātrā festivals in so many places. You also introduced us to the divine Vṛndāvana and taught us how to do parikramās.
On this special occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā day, Śrīla Prabhupāda, I pray that you please forgive me and bless me and all the devotees serving here at ISKCON Ghaziabad so that by your mercy, we will strictly follow the authentic guru-śiṣya paramparā, under your guidance and shelter.

On this most sacred and auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, we, the devotees at Śrī Gītā-
nāgarī Dhāma, bow before you in deep gratitude and reverence, attempting in our small way to
glorify your immeasurable mercy and sacrifice, through which you saved humanity on this earth
planet. Your arrival in this world was the greatest blessing for all conditioned souls, as you car-
ried within your heart the boundless compassion and divine mission of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
Through your tireless service, you gifted us the supreme treasure of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, illumi-
nating the path of bhakti for all suffering souls in this dark age of Kali-yuga, allowing them to
attain true happiness and eternal shelter at Lord Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet.
This year marks sixty years since your historic arrival in the United States, when you fearlessly
set foot on these foreign shores with nothing but your unwavering faith in guru and Kṛṣṇa and
an unbreakable determination to fulfill the sacred order of your Guru Mahārāja – to spread Lord
Kṛṣṇa’s glories among English-speaking people and uplift the fallen souls of Kali-yuga. Your pure
devotional service and boundless compassion have transformed countless lives, bringing spiritual
awakening to all corners of the world.
In just twelve short years, you accomplished what no one in history had ever done:
• You established ISKCON, creating a global family of sincere Kṛṣṇa devotees whose mission
is to share the divine message you brought with the whole world.
• You translated and commentated the most sacred Vaiṣṇava scriptures, making the essence of
Vedic wisdom accessible to all.
• You built temples, gurukulas, farm communities, and centers of spiritual education all over
the world.
• You gave guidance and established the principles of daivī varṇāśrama-dharma, directing soci-
ety toward Kṛṣṇa conscious living.
• You delivered countless lectures and taught by your own divine example, demonstrating the
purest standard of devotion, humility, and selfless love.
Here at Gītā-nāgarī, we feel particularly honored and blessed to serve in a place you person-
ally envisioned as a model for daivī varṇāśrama-dharma. Though you physically departed before
witnessing this vision fully manifest, we remain determined, under the loving guidance of your
dear disciple, His Holiness Devamrita Swami, to bring aspects of it to fruition. With hearts full of
gratitude, we are humbly striving to:
• Provide loving care for Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Dāmodara’s cows and land.
• Develop sustainable agriculture and self-sufficient natural healthcare.
• Expand and upgrade accommodations for guests and devotees.
• Strengthen the Kshatriya Academy, training all devotees in martial arts and cultivating cour-
age, integrity, and dedication.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, we beg for your causeless mercy. Please empower us to become your humble
instruments, working in harmony to serve your divine mission with unshakable faith, determina-
tion, and love. May we always remain united in devotion, assisting one another in fulfilling your

Traveling to the ruins of ancient civilizations provokes in some a sense of historical irony. All of the great empires of the world declared themselves everlasting. One can still visit the temple dedicated to Roma Aeterna, “the eternal Roman Empire,” which collapsed more than fifteen hundred years ago. When asked, anyone with an understanding of history will declare that no matter how mighty a nation, empire, or any other power is, it will eventually fall. But it is a rare occurrence for us to apply such wisdom to our own situation. Such a fate of destruction could not possibly befall us; any downturn in our fortune, we reason, must be a fluke, a simple cyclical variation. But when the tide turns back in our favor, the good times will roll, we think.
It seems increasingly likely, however, that such a correction will not save us any time soon. Over the last several years, the situation in practically every nation in the world has degraded, and there is no clear indication of how or when recovery will come. World leaders have been exposed as demons, and yet justice has not found them. Food prices increase, even as our food is chemically modified into “product” rather than nourishment. Petroleum, the lifeblood of modern civilization, is increasingly expensive, its price dependent on the egos of madmen. The people are thus forced to spend more time working in unnatural and artificial occupations, increasing their work hours until they have nothing to do but sleep and labor. This intense suffering causes them to take shelter of the modes of passion and ignorance, leading to an increase in violence, conquest, and genocide.
Yet still, most inmates of this society hold onto the hope that a correction is just around the corner – that all we must do is wait a while longer, and the good times will surely begin. You, however, see only through the eyes of śāstra. You taught us, through your books, lectures, and all your teachings that the wheel of sense gratification only has so many turns before catastrophe.
You explained in so many ways how the modern demoniac society is unsustainable. An often-repeated reason is the industrialized slaughter of cows. The various means of advertisement and social engineering, meant to fan the flames of anger, lust, and greed, deserve a mention as well. The list you gave us goes on and on, showing that this modern society is but a small push away from collapse. There is also another critical reason that you gave when explaining how the collapse would come: no one knows how to grow food.
The increased chaos in the world shows that your prescription is critically needed. Almost none of the residents of Gītā-nāgarī have a background in farming. We came from offices, labs, and classrooms, from cities, where food came not from the ground but from a supermarket. But as much as we are able, we are attempting, under the direction of your servants, to take up your instruction to protect cows, grow food, and live simply off the land.
The other philosophies of the world, utopian and apocalyptic in their design, rely on political machinations, social subterfuge, or violent uprisings to achieve their aim. Ultimately, this aim is not a true rebirth of society, but only a reordering of who is on top. Meanwhile, the social revolution you envisioned is a complete cultural overhaul, and begins in the most unlikely places: a mantra chanted, a book distributed, a cow cared for, and a seed planted.
Please give us your blessings, Śrīla Prabhupāda, that we can fulfill your mission in showing the world that competition and exploitation is not the only life conceivable, but that it is indeed possible for humanity, the land, animals, and Kṛṣṇa to live in cooperation and harmony.

All glories to Your Divine Grace on this most sacred occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā. We humbly pray
for your guidance so that we may serve as instruments in your hands, assisting in the propagation
of your profound teachings and mission.
This year marks the 129th anniversary of your auspicious appearance. With each passing year,
we gain newer insights into the limitless depths of your glories and transcendental qualities. Your
Vyāsa-pūjā is a divine opportunity for us to reflect on your deeply inspiring, oceanic personality
and rededicate ourselves to your service. This year also marks the sixtieth anniversary of your
arrival in the United States. In just six decades, by your sincere and strenuous efforts, the Kṛṣṇa
consciousness movement has expanded exponentially, touching millions of lives and establishing
a global spiritual revolution.
In the purport to The Nectar of Instruction (3), you imparted a vital lesson: “Devotional service is
not a matter of sentimental speculation or imaginative ecstasy. Its substance is practical activity.”
Śrīla Prabhupāda, you did not merely write these words – you lived them. Tirelessly, without
concern for personal comfort, you served Kṛṣṇa and the guru-paramparā with unwavering deter-
mination. It would be an understatement to say that without your relentless efforts, millions of
devotees like us would be bereft of bhakti and any true understanding of the self.
By your mercy, this past year has been exceptionally fruitful in book distribution. In 2024,
we increased our remittance to the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) by an inspiring 56 percent,
building upon a 27 percent increase the previous year. We are striving to surpass this in the
coming year.
One of the most significant milestones in our book distribution efforts has been the distribu-
tion of Braille Bhagavad-gītā sets. Inspired by your vision, devotees have published the Bhagavad-
gītā As It Is in Braille for the visually impaired, and we successfully placed these sets in nine public
libraries. We remain committed to expanding this initiative, ensuring that more libraries across
the United States house these sacred texts.
In total, we distributed 410 Bhagavad-gītās and 41 Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam sets last year. By compari-
son, the previous year’s distribution totaled 19 sets of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and 1,024 Bhagavad-gītās.
Beyond book distribution, we have been striving to expand our preaching efforts. Pyāri Mohan
Prabhu has initiated classes on Śrī Īśopaniṣad, with the goal of holding at least two sessions each
month. The response so far has been promising.
Additionally, we have established two new bhakti-vriksha programs in West Hartford and
Glastonbury, complementing the existing program in Hartford we initiated last year. We pray for
your blessings so that these programs continue to grow and inspire more souls toward devotional
service.
By your divine grace, attendance at our Sunday feast programs and Vaiṣṇava festival celebra-
tions has steadily increased. This year, we eagerly anticipate an even greater turnout at our Ratha-
yātrā festival on June 7.
During your lecture on Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.9.15, given in Māyāpur on February 22, 1976, you
stated: “My Guru Mahārāja used to say that this material world is not fit for living for any gentle-
man. No gentleman can live here.” Again, during a morning walk in Vṛndāvana on April 9, 1976,
you declared: “Anyone who has not surrendered to Kṛṣṇa is not a gentleman. That is the test.”
Śrīla Prabhupāda, with impeccable logic and compassion, you demonstrated how surrender to
Kṛṣṇa is the true mark of a gentleman. During your physical presence, you transformed countless
unrefined souls into exemplary gentlemen and mercifully revealed the process by which anyone
can attain such refinement.
On this auspicious occasion, we pray that by your mercy, we may become true gentlemen in
the highest sense – fully surrendered servants of Kṛṣṇa. We also seek your blessings to help others
embrace this process, as there is nothing more pleasing to you than seeing more and more people
take up this path of devotion, following in the footsteps of the great ācāryas.
Please continue to guide us, as you always have, and remove any obstacles on our spiritual
journey, by your boundless mercy.
